ABQ-based Blue Sky Producers Lab invites all NM indie filmmakers to their AFME panel

Hi there. I'm Jose J. Garcia, one of the partners at Blue Sky Producers Lab. I wanted to introduce myself and, if you've never heard of Blue Sky, introduce you to it. But I also come here with an invitation to an event at this year's Albuquerque Film and Music Experience conference, for all indie filmmakers.

Blue Sky Producers Lab is a local media accelerator and development company with three projects by New Mexican writers currently in development, to be shot in New Mexico: one movie, one TV series, and a TV mini-series. The best part about this is that we're not done. We're just getting started. Anyone can submit a screenplay for consideration by Blue Sky via http://blueskyprolab.com (provided you register first). Not tomorrowor in a few weeks, but right now.

What do we do? Once we pick a project, we sheperd it through re-writes, package it with above the line talent, and find financing and distribution for it so that it can be produced, posted - and hit the ground running in distribution. In other words, we do development.

But what is development? Development is a long process that all movie projects should ideally go through. In fact, you could say no one in Hollywood who makes movies could imagine not doing it. Why should indies do it too? Well, the reason why is at the top of our home page:

"One should do everything possible to reduce unreasonable risks and maximize the picture's success, so that filmmakers suceed and make several films, as opposed to making one movie and then fading away."

So, if you're a New Mexico writer, producer or content creator interested in increasing your projects' chances of success, please join Blue Sky Producers Lab for a panel discussion: "From Idea to Greenlight -- Making it Happen in New Mexico," June 7, 2017 at this year's Albuquerque Film and Music Experience, from 10am to noon in the Garden Room of the Crowne Plaza, 1901 University Blvd. NE in Albuquerque

Tickets for the panel are $10, and can be purchased through the AFME website at www.abqfilmx.com/panels.

Additionally, Blue Sky Producers Lab will host daily a four-hour afternoon live-streaming event during the AFME in the lobby of the Crowne Plaza, where filmmakers, panel participants, and festival VIPS will be interviewed. Clips and highlights of AFME will also be shown. The stream will air on Youtube and other social network sites and will be archived for future viewing. Links to streams will be on the AFME website.

Thanks for your time. Hope to see you there!
