Indie Q

The Albuquerque independent film community in action!

Documentary Day was great! Our audience truly appreciated all our films and requested that we do it again! Let's think about what kind of theme/event to create maybe for April or May... any ideas? They loved being able to talk to us about why and how we do what we do...wasn't that rewarding?

At our next gathering, we'll enjoy a
(with popcorn!) AND A TRAINING and is SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12th from 2-6pm at FilmMakerSpace on the Aldea Plaza in Santa Fe.

WHERE: Elemental Films FilmMakerSpace
19-B Plaza Nueva (or Via Plaza Nueva) Santa Fe 87507
(Google "Elemental Films Santa Fe" for directions.) We're at the end of the 2nd building as you go around the Aldea Plaza. Look for the Elemental Films window sign, enter the lobby, left door. First, we'll get our Nespresso lattes, espressos, or herbal teas at FilmMakerSpace, then head over to the Aldea Community/Media Center in the building on the other side of the plaza. If you're arriving late come straight over.

We're starting a little early to screen Filmmakers Club Member Katie Teague's amazing feature documentary "Money & Life"  starting at 1:45 + Q&A with Katie afterwards. It's so well made that we will all learn lots of new things from this genius. None of the Filmmakers Club members have had a chance to watch this powerful film, so please come be blown away! Arrive by 1:45 at FilmMakerSpace -- if you want to grab a latte and some popcorn first, otherwise the screening will start right at 2pm so head straight to the Aldea Media Center.

Katie Teague will also be training us in how she uses her passion, focus, and values to monetize her films and projects using Patreon, Kickstarter, and Indiegogo. She'll share how she builds her global tribe o folks who care about what she creates and supports her.

Filmmakers Coffee is now Filmmakers Club! When you're a member of Filmmakers Club, you're invited to participate in all events and trainings at no charge. Now that we're settled and have FilmMakerSpace, we'll be hosting more trainings -- specifically on story development, producing, directing, editing, distribution, and more technical aspects of filmmaking. We'll also hold frequent workshops to get into greater detail and development of YOUR current projects. Yes, we will still be holding some events and sessions in Albuquerque depending on how many people participate and when we find a suitable space. Aldea de Santa Fe is very easy to get to from Albuquerque, so we hope you enjoy the beautiful drive ~ pretty snow free these days! and come for new experiences in your work, collaborative relationships, and results. What else is possible?
